The pool, the garden and the beach
The pool is about 400 sq ft, 5 to 6 feet at the deep end, with a shallow side, a Jacuzzi and a separate infant pool. There is no lifeguard — it is a private pool in a private house, and children in it are your responsibility exactly as they would be at a friend's. The lawn around it runs to about 11,000 sq ft, lit at night, with seating and a poolside shower.
The beach is about 50 metres away. Parking is inside the gate, for 6 to 8 cars inside the gate. 4 cameras cover the grounds, around the clock.
Nearby. The Beach Madras Square Restaurant, ECR Speedway, Aruvi, Thoondil — all within half a kilometre. Du-du Bar and Uthandi beach are both a walk away, and there are restaurants and shops within a kilometre.
A caretaker lives on site, 24 hours, for cleaning and anything that needs fixing. A generator keeps the power on around the clock. The pool is cleaned daily, AC filters weekly, the garden twice a month, and pest control weekly. Linen is changed once during a stay. Toiletries, a poolside shower, wine glasses, beer mugs and bottle openers are all there.
The staircase to the first floor has a low ceiling — worth watching your head on the way up.
